In the event of non-payment, I will cancel the sale and re-list the item. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Shipping

If you are not satisfied with your purchase then please contact me immediately to discuss the issue. If appropriate, I am able to refund purchase price less postage costs upon return of the item, as long as it is in the same new condition that I sent it out as. If a return/exchange/refund is agreed then the item must reach me within 2 weeks of that agreement.

Items will be shipped within 3-5 days of receipt of payment, excepting Sundays and UK Bank Holidays. If I am unable to post in this time (due to unexpected absence, sickness, etc) then you will be notified and a refund offered.

CUSTOMS & EXCISE DUTY outside of the UK: Your item may be intercepted by customs and an import duty charged to you. Any customs fees, etc. that might be incurred at the time of delivery would be at discretion of the recipient's country's tax rules. I sadly have no way of knowing what any fees might be, should they even occur, and I am not liable for those charges. For any additional information or questions, refer to your local Post Office. The buyer is responsible for all taxes and custom fees which MAY apply. Whether your item is intercepted or not is due to luck and quite random.

I cannot accept responsibility for any item that is lost in transit, but I will assist as much as possible in tracking it down. Normally shipping to the US takes between 5 - 10 days but sometimes as much as a fortnight. Shipping to Europe normally takes 4 - 7 days.

Additional policies and FAQs

I make every effort to accurately photograph the items in my shop. Please note that there may sometimes be some slight colour variation between the image and actual item due to fluctuations in lighting and difference in monitors between users. Items are photographed next to a large south-facing window, with additional light from a daylight lamp....(well, this IS the UK!)

FAQ's:

WILL MY "Tins Re-purposed" ITEM RUST?
No, unless you leave it outside in the rain for days on end. It will not rust if you are caught in the rain without an umbrella.

WILL MY ITEM SCRATCH? As much as any other jewellery, but my pieces will take on a more 'vintage' appearance if they become scratched.

WHAT METALS ARE THE EARRINGS MADE FROM? The wires that thread through your ears will always be high quality silver.

IS IT OK TO WEAR COPPER AGAINST THE SKIN? It wont hurt you. Some people wear copper bangles as an aid against rheumatism, I don't know if it works or not, but the green colour that appears on the skin of those wearers is due to the copper spending long periods of time (months) against the skin. The green is simply the copper oxidising with the natural oils and sweat of the wearer. The more acidic the levels in your sweat and oils, the more likely your skin will go green against copper, but only if you wear copper all the time. I personally wouldn't wear copper ear-wires, because the green could potentially accumulate in the pierced hole, which although not bad might be awkward to clean out.

IS PURE TIN from the Material Landscape collection POISONOUS OR TOXIC?
Is tin poisonous or toxic? Pure tin in its solid metal form is neither poisonous, an irritant nor toxic, it is inert and harmless. It is NOT TO BE CONFUSED with organotin compounds, which are toxic and poisonous chemicals used in industry for catalysts, polymers and other chemical uses.

I'VE HEARD PURE TIN IS SOFTER THAN PEWTER, DOES THAT MEAN MY PURE TIN JEWELLERY WILL BREAK EASILY?

"No, you'd be able to wear them in an everyday carefree way as you would with other metals. Tin is soft from a 'metal perspective'. If you dropped these on the path, nothing would happen, just a little mark the same as if you dropped them if they were made from silver. If you stood on them whilst they were on the path, you would not be able to squash them under your body weight, but you'd mark them and damage them, same as if they were silver. If you put them on a steel block and hit hard with a big hammer, you'd smoosh them down more than you would manage to if they were silver. It's because the designs are made to a density that means they are robust. My more delicate designs (which would flex if made from pure tin) are made from Pewter, which is very hard. With the rings, that thickness is fine because it's very thick in relation to the size of circle that it's been made into. It's interesting stuff, is Tin.
